McCormick Ranch is a community of approximately 27,000 residents which incorporated in 1972. Located within 5 square miles in Scottsdale, just west of the 101 freeway, from Shea Boulevard south to Indian Bend Road, McCormick Ranch features a variety of homes, from majestic lakefront homes, to luxury townhomes, patio homes as well as condos on the golf courses, all contained within approximately 50 different subdivisions.

Central McCormick Ranch, bounded by Mountain View Road to the north, and Via de Ventura to the south, is home to many of these subdivisions. For example, Estados de La Mancha features semi-custom homes in an anti-cookie cutter neighborhood, near Hayden and Via Linda. Suggs Rancho McCormick contains 255 homes, and is one of the largest subdivisions in McCormick Ranch proper. Nearby Playa Del Sur, built by Camelot (Hancock), which contains 98 homes, was constructed between 1980 and 1988, and is surrounded by miles of greenbelt pathways. These homes average around 2800 square feet in size.

Vista de la Tierra features Spanish style homes developed by Camelot (Hancock) on larger lots. These homes range in size from 2,000 up to almost 4,000 square feet. Las Palomas in central McCormick Ranch is a guard-gated community of townhomes and patio homes, with some waterfront lots on Lake Angela, Lake Nino and Lake Margherite. The McCormick Ranch Home Owners Association Annual Planned Area Development Fee is considered to be affordable (under $200/annually as of 2015) and takes care of landscaping, as well as the clubhouse, pool and tennis amenities. Some subdivisions may have an additional HOA fee.

Things To Do: There are 2 championship 18-hole golf courses within the community, as well as several other courses throughout and nearby McCormick Ranch. Schools: The Scottsdale School District serves family-friendly McCormick Ranch, including Cochise and Kiva Elementary Schools, Mohave and Cocopah Middle Schools, as well as Chaparral and Saguaro High Schools. Finally, McCormick Ranch is located just 20 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport and is less than a 30-minute drive from downtown Phoenix.
